Since its founding in 1973, the Palm Desert Tennis Club maintains its primary focus on tennis. Eight lighted courts are in excellent condition. The full-service pro shop offers a variety of tennis equipment and clothing.

There are activities for all levels, ranging from league competitors to weekend warriors, and programs for beginners, intermediates and advanced level players. The staff will arrange games on request. There are regular Ladies’ and Men’s Day events, clinics, social mixers, junior programs, exchanges with other clubs and tournaments.

All homeowners and non-resident members have full tennis privileges. They may bring guests @ $10 per day. Persons renting through the Club rental program and guests of homeowners staying in residence with a homeowner, when the homeowner is in residence, are exempt from guest fees. There are a limited number of non-resident memberships available on an annual basis. ($1135 for a family membership, $910 for a single membership)

Tennis facilities are NOT open to the public,
but lessons can be arranged for non-members.

Clinics are limited to six players per court, and normally run for an hour. If less than four players are present, the instruction period will  be shortened as follows: one player - 20 minutes; two players - 30 minutes; three   players - 45 minutes
Director of Tennis Ken Kuperstein was the United States Professional Tennis Association international singles champion and #1 ranked teaching pro in the United States in 1998 and 2000.
He won the international USPTA 35 and over singles championship in 2004. He played on the ATP tour for five years. Early in 2006, Ken was picked to represent the United States in Davis Cup competition - The Italia Cup - (35 and over) in Durban, South Africa.
